Sandvik Mining has been awarded a major material handling contract in Australia. The value of the contract exceeds SEK 450 million and will be executed and contribute to Sandvik Mining?s business for the period of the years 2014 until 2016. The order for the project includes engineering, procurement and construction of two bucket-wheel stacker/reclaimers for coal handling with stacking capacity of 8,600 tonnes per hour and reclaiming capacity of 7,250 tonnes per hour.

Sandvik Construction?s sales for the fourth quarter of the year were down by -7 per cent to SEK 2.17 billion ($332 million). The division recorded an operating loss of SEK 223 million ($34 million) for the three months, compared to SEK 83 million ($13 million) profits for the same period last year.
